The book of Genesis

Genesis 1

1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

This beginning is not the beginning of time, nor the beginning of God, for God has no beginning (Isaiah 57:15). This beginning is the beginning of God’s plan. The plan of mankind. The word “heaven,” means “very high.” The “heavens,” are all high things (inhabitants of space). In the beginning God created the heavens (all inhabitants of space, Heaven (the dwelling place of God), and earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void;

The word “earth” means dry land (Genesis 1:10). The word “was” was translated from the Hebrew word “hayah,” and means: to become; come to pass; became. The phrase “without form,” was translated from the Hebrew word “tohuw,” and means: to lie waste; a desolation (of surface), a worthless thing; vanity; confusion. The word “void,” was translated from the Hebrew word “bohuw,”
and means: to be empty; a vacuity; an undistinguishable ruin; emptiness.

Therefore the earth (dry land) “became“, waste, ruined, vain, empty, and (as we will see below), flooded. When the earth was created (Genesis 1:1), it was created perfect. But as we see in verse two, it is far from perfect (read Jeremiah 4:23-26, for a more detailed look). It was not originally created in the disastrous, vain, state that Genesis 1:2, and Jeremiah 4:23-26 show it to be in. This is clarified by what is said in Isaiah 45:18, where it says “For thus says the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it, he has established it, he did not create it in vain, he formed it to be inhabited.” Therefore there is a gap of unknown time in between Genesis 1:1 (when the earth was fruitful, and perfect), and 1:2 (where the earth became destroyed by a flood, which will be more explained below).

and darkness was upon the face of the deep.

The word “darkness” here, was translated from the Hebrew word “choshek,” and means: the absence of light, along with: misery; destruction; death; sorrow; wickedness, and evil. “The face of the deep,” is the surface of the earth underneath the depths of the water that God blanketed the earth with (Psalm 104:6). The darkness that was upon the face of the deep was not only referring to the absence of light, but (since the Hebrew word “choshek” also means wickedness, and evil), it was making reference to Satan, his angels, and the (non human) race of people (Isaiah 14:12, Ezekiel 28:17- 19), that lived on the earth before the earth was flooded. These (non human) people are known as the “pre adimites,” because they lived on the earth before Adam.

Lucifer (Satan) was thrown out of heaven along with his angels to the earth (Luke 10:18), after attempting to overthrow God (Isaiah 14:13-14). God then flooded the earth (Psalm 104:6), killing the pre adimite people, and leaving them only with a spiritual body. The pre adimites are now what the bible calls “demons.” They were once good just like Lucifer and his angels, but because they were mentally built to follow Lucifer, when Lucifer became evil, they did also. That was there nature. So God had to flood (baptize) the whole earth with water to cleanse it of its sin. Our salvation comes through the baptism into Christ by his blood spiritually (Romans 6:3), not water (1 Peter 3:21). God uses the baptism of water, as the physical representation of the spiritual baptism.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The spirit of God is preparing to reform, and shape the flooded earth into a habitable state, as the earth was before it was destroyed.

3And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Here, God commanded light to shine upon the earth. The light of the heavens had never ceased. They were just withheld from shining (Isaiah 50:3) upon the earth, due to the punishment of sin (Jeremiah 4:23-28), that was committed by Satan, his angels, (Isaiah 14:12-15) and the pre adimite people. Everything God does that is physical, has a spiritual side to it. The spiritual part is the important part, since nothing physical happens unless the spiritual side happens first. God’s word tells us that every spiritual thing casts a shadow (Colossians 2:16-17). That shadow is the physical representation of the spiritual thing. God blocked the earth from receiving any light, because the spiritual light that Lucifer, his angels, and all inhabitants on earth once had, went out due to the sin that developed in there hearts. We are to be the light of the world (Mathew 5:14). The light is our good works (Mathew 5:16). Where there is no light, there can only be darkness. So when God said “let there be light,” he was saying “That's enough!”
According to scripture, the Father gives the command to Christ, Christ then speaks the command to the Holy spirit, and the Holy spirit then carries it out. According to this, it was Christ who was speaking these words by order of the Father (since Christ is the word) John 1:1. Then the Holy spirit did the actual work, and that is why we see the Holy spirit hovering the face of the waters in verse two.

The fact that the nearest star would take many thousands of light years to reach our planet, proves that the earth is much older than six thousand years. Some argue that God caused the light to travel much faster than it normally does, so that it would reach our planet in the day he created the heavens, and the earth. This is not true. If God doesn't break his spiritual laws, he doesn't break his physical laws either. It is said that God made the earth look billions of years old. Why would God need to make the earth look old? What's the point? We look in and study the inside of the earth, and see the evidence of billions of years of ware, and tare. Did God give the earth artificial fingerprints? When he makes a full grown tree in one day, does he give it tree rings? Why would God put a giant crater from a meteorite in the earth to make the earth look old? That sounds like God is being deceiving. Those claims are untrue, and unscriptural.

4And God saw the light, that it was good:

God saw the light shining from the sun, and acknowledged the life that it brings, which is good. Spiritually, God saw the light shining from the son, knowing the life that he brings, which is really good.

and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God divided the twenty four hour period that the earth takes to rotate one full rotation, into two sections. One twelve hour section for the light of day, and one twelve hour section for the darkness of night. This “division” was already established from the beginning (Genesis 1:1), since we know that the sun, and earth were in full working order together at that time. God is just giving us a history lesson on the things he created for us, sometime in the dateless past, since we weren't there to witness it. Notice here It says “And God divided”, instead of, “then God divided.”

5And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

This confirms that the division of light, and darkness was to divide the twenty four hour revolution of the earth, into twelve hours of day, and twelve hours of night. Now, the first morning, and the first evening occur as the first day. The earth had not seen a full working day, since the time God had blocked all light from contacting the earth, due to the fall of Lucifer, until this point.

6And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

God calls the firmament heaven in Genesis 1:8. The firmament (in this verse) is referred to as the three layers of the atmosphere. The word firmament does not mean atmosphere. It comes from the Hebrew word “raqiya,” and means “an expanse.” The atmosphere is an expanse. In 2nd Corinthians 12:2, Paul was caught up into the third heaven. This “third heaven” is the top (or third) layer of the atmosphere. We can read the verse like this “Let the atmosphere divide the ocean, from the clouds.”

7And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

And God reformed the expanse of atmosphere that he had created in the beginning, and divided the ocean that is under the atmosphere, by taking some of the ocean water, and distributing it in cloud form above the atmosphere. Either God allowed the clouds to form by natural occurrence, or he physically put them there himself. We do know that God had to reform the atmosphere before it was possible for there to be cloud formation.

8And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.

And God called the expanse of the three layers of the atmosphere Heaven. The word “Heaven” here is translated from the Hebrew word “shamayim,” and means “to be lofty.” Lofty means “very high.” The atmosphere is very high, and that's why its called heaven. The dwelling place of God is also named with the word “Heaven,” because it contains the “most high,” which is God, and is on the farthest sides of the north (Isaiah 14:13).

9And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

Psalm 104:5-8 describes this event in more detail. It proves that the earth was flooded by the command of God, before the six days of the reconstruction of the surface of the earth. This also proves that the earth was not originally made covered with water, but had become covered (Psalm 104:6). This scripture is not making reference to Noah's flood, since the flood of Noah took one year and ten days to dry up (Genesis 7:11-8:14). This scripture says that God rebuked the waters. Therefore this scripture must be making reference to Genesis 1:9.

10And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters he called Seas: and God saw that it was good.
11And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

In verse 11, notice that God says “let the earth bring forth.” This implies that the seed needed for vegetation, was already in the earth. Knowing this, the earth had to of been previously inhabited with vegetation before the six day reconstruction, and before the flood. The light of the sun is bringing life to the earth here in verse eleven. Spiritually, Jesus Christ the son, brings life to us through his light. We are to let our light shine before the world to lead others to life (Mathew 5:16).

12And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after its kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after its kind: and God saw that it was good.
13And the evening and the morning were the third day.
14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Let there be light from the sun, and the moon and stars, which will divide the day from the night. The sun for the day, and the moon and stars for the night. Notice God says “let there be lights,” not, let me create the sun, moon and stars that give the light. The sun, moon, and stars were already there from Genesis 1:1.

15And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

“And let them be for lights in the expanse of space.”

16And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.

The moon has been bombarded by asteroids. Did that occur in between now, and the time of Adam and Eve?

17And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
18And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

Notice here it says “and God made,” it doesn‘t say, “then God made.” God is simply telling us that he had already created the source of these lights (sun, moon, and stars), in the beginning, during Genesis 1:1, and is letting us know where the “light” (that is now emerging) is coming from. The word “made” (asah) is used instead of the word “created” (bara). This signifies that the creating had already been done, since “made,” is being used as a past tense. This is God’s way of telling us about the things he created for us before we existed. If this is when the sun, moon, and stars were created, then the evening, and morning could not have happened until now. It’s already into the fourth day. Now again it says “and God set them in the firmament,” instead of “then God set them in the firmament.”

19And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
20And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
21And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
22And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
23And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
24And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
25And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creeps upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

It is believed by many that the “beasts” mentioned here, are referring not only to the lions, and the tigers, ect. but to the dinosaurs too. This is not possible, since God had commanded Noah to bring in every beast, clean and unclean after its kind into the ark (Genesis 7:2). If the dinosaurs existed then, they would still be around, since at least two of every kind of all animals would have been saved from the flood by the ark. The dinosaurs walked the planet sometime before the flood of Genesis 1:2, most likely with the pre adimites.

26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.
27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Now the word “make” is being used as a future tense, instead of a past tense. “Let us make man” which we have not yet created. After we create them, let us give them dominion over all of these things. Now its time to create them. “so God created man.” The word “man” here, includes woman, since the word woman means man with a womb. God says here “let us make man in our image,” instead of saying “in my image.” God is three beings, not just one. The Father, the Son, and the Holy spirit (1 John 5:7). They are one God together, yet three separate beings. They are one, because they are exactly the same (John 14:9). We were physically and mentally made in thee exact image of God. No other form of life (angels, people of other creations, animal’s ect.) were made in God’s image. Spiritually, we are not made in his image. Why? because God wants us to put the work, and effort into becoming conformed into his spiritual image (Romans 8:29). His spiritual image is his nature. We are born with a sinful nature. So, we must change it to God’s nature (2 Peter 1:4).

28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

Deuteronomy 28:14 tells us all the blessings you will receive from the lord if you serve him. God tells them to be fruitful (bear children), and multiply, and replenish the earth (fill it with people). This verse has a spiritual meaning too. We are to bear fruit of good works (Colossians 1:10) and multiply (convert people into Christians) 2nd Corinthians 9:10.
Notice that it says “replenish,” instead of “fill.” This tells us that the earth once had life upon it, and now mankind is commanded by God to repopulate the earth, since the population before us was destroyed (2nd Peter 3:6). He was told to “subdue” (bring into subjection; bring into bondage), the earth, so that he could fully dominate it. Subdue is an action word, and so Adam had to put effort into taking dominion over the earth, and keep Satan from corrupting it.. We must take dominion over our spiritual lives, otherwise the enemy will corrupt it.

29And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food.

Some people take this out of context and say this verse justifies the use of Marijuana, since it is an herb. The drug (THC) found in Marijuana, is used by the plant as a self defense mechanism against predators. Here God tells Adam that every herb is given to him for food. This is before he had sinned, causing the fall of mankind (Genesis 3:6). It wasn't until after the fall of man, that any living thing (plants, animals, humans) needed a self defense mechanism to protect themselves from any kind of danger. Before the fall of man, the earth, and man, were not cursed. The curse brought upon the possible need for any form of self defense. If God put THC in the Marijuana plant before the fall of man, then God wouldn't have told Adam “I have given you every herb bearing seed.” It is against God’s law to intoxicate your mind (Proverbs 23:31-33, and Ephesians 5:18).

30And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creeps upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for food: and it was so.
31And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Mankind was created on the sixth day, therefore six is the number of man. Revelation 13:18 clarifies that.
